RUUUUM

We visited Barbancourt Distillery, over 150 years in business in Haiti, and still doing well.  They are the only large-scale rum distillery left in Haiti and make good spirits, exporting all over the world.  It was fascinating to see a large, industrial factory in operation in Haiti and to see how they get things done (they create their own electricity in a small steam turbine that burns sugar cane chaff).  At the end, we even got a few samples.
