We decided to come to the US for a bit of winter tourism. We started with a week or so in Brooklyn visiting friends and family, and then got to join in a ski trip to Stratton,Vermont. It was so cold and snowy that I kept telling A1 we were going to the North Pole, which actually seemed to help her understand where we were. Outfitted in new snowsuits and gear from their beloved Buela, both kids survived, and A1 had a great time. I am hopeful A2 will like winter more when he can also run around, make snow balls, climb snow hills, sing Jingle Bells on a sleigh ride, etc. From his current point of view (crawling, trying to stand up on things), sub-zero temperatures are not fun. Both kids got haircuts in Brooklyn Heights from Maya, the lady who has been cutting my and my mother's hair for 30 years. The tradition continues.
